You might not always realize the quality of air you’re breathing in, but it can contain toxins. NASA teamed up with the Associated Contractors of America to study which houseplants were best at filtering common home and office toxins back in the late 1980s. The 18 best plants for filtering toxins are listed in the infograph pulled together below. For optimal results NASA recommends having one plant for every 100 square feet of home or office space.
