Dana White is an American businessman and a sports promoter worth approximately $500 million.
White started working as a manager for Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, when he learned that Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the UFC was looking for a buyer.
Dana contacted his childhood friend Lorenzo Fertitta, and within a month, around January 2001, Lorenzo and his older brother Frank bought the UFC with White installed as its president.
White owns around 9% of Zuffa, LLC, the entity created by the Fertitta brothers to own and manage the UFC, in July 2016 the UFC was sold to a consortium of investors led by WME-IMG.
