Disney theme parks are classic family trips where families like to take their children, but which of the two theme parks in the United States is cheaper to visit?

Disneyland is celebrating its 60th anniversary this summer, and recently announced a $1 billion facelift, and that made travel website Hipmunk decide to try to figure out the math between visiting Disneyland “The Happiest Place on Earth” and Disney World, the East Coast cousin, which is supposed to be more magical.

To do the study, Hipmunk analyzed 2015 flight data for average flight prices to Anaheim and Orlando from the 30 most popular airports in the United States, as well as average prices for hotel stays in Anaheim and Lake Buena Vista.

Their not-so-scientific study estimates a four day four night stay for a family of four with two children aged 3-9.

They found it is significantly cheaper if you choose not to stay at a Disney branded hotel, but which is cheaper between the two resorts?
