Drone Footage Gives You a Look at the Nuclear Aftermath of the Chernobyl Disaster

Danny Cooke, a freelance filmmaker, director and editor had a chance to visit Pripyat, Chernobyl while working for CBS News on a CBS 60 Minutes episode.

Pripryat in Ukraine was a pretty busy city, about 49,000 people once lived there, less than two miles from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

But since the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear explosion, the area was abandoned and left largely undisturbed for the past 30 or so years.

Cooke, armed with a camera, a drone and a dosimeter Geiger counter, he explored the remains of Pripyat and Chernobyl and put together this amazing 3 minute video below:
