Hennessy Celebrates 250 Years with a 250 Collector Blehnd

As Hennessy celebrates its 250th anniversary, they decided to celebrate it in a way befitting of a distillery, by creating a special blend.

The brand, first created in 1765, is known for their renowned cognac.

The unique blend, the H250, has been created by master blender Yann Fillioux and his Comité de Degustation with over 100 eaux-de-vie from the House Reserve, aged between 15 and 35 years.

The 250 barrels have been handcrafted specifically for the occasion, with each barrel carrying 250 liters of this celebratory blend, and has been resting for the last 5 years.

The blend is a powerful and unique spicy flavor that carries aromatic tones of bitter orange, freshly grated nutmeg, licorice, dried peppermint leaf, and saffron.

The carafe was designed by Stephani Balini and draws inspiration from the sensual curves of the House’s timeless icon and legacy.

While most bottles of unique liquor are crafted out of unique materials such as crystal, which pushes the bottles into the high four figure ranges, the carafe is made of glass for this blend, keeping it at a more obtainable $600 price tag.

There are an estimated few thousand bottles that will be released.
