JW Marriott has announced that it will be opening a hotel in Venice, located on its own private island called Isola delle Rose (Rose Island).
Scheduled to open in March 2015, the 266-room property is built on an amazing lagoon location on its own island, with gorgeous views of St Mark’s Square and La Serenissima.
JW Marriott has worked with Matteo Thun & Partners to renovate the historic buildings and parklands of the islands to incorporate sustainable, modern and elegant design within the historic buildings.
The property will span over 16 acres with numerous gardens and outdoor areas for guests to explore. There are also fruit arbours, olive groves, and cultivated plots to provide fresh ingredients for the property’s food and drink offerings.
There will be four restaurants, five bars, and even a cooking school and wine academy.
There are plans for a spa with an indoor and outdoor aqua-tonic pool, a health club, eight treatment rooms, a hammam and luxury spa suites.
Other amenities will include, a dedicated family pool and a kid’s club, water sports like canoeing and sailing, and an amazing rooftop pool offering beautiful views across the lagoon to St. Mark’s Square which is only fifteen minutes away by boat.
