High above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, where one of the most amazing game reserves on the continent of Africa is, Kenya Maasai Mara, the luxury resort Angama Mara is now open.

Angama Mara, who’s name is inspired by the Swahili word for “suspended in mid air”, the beautiful resort seems to float above the Maasai Mara reserve.

The resort consists of two intimate camps of just 15 tented suites each.

The lodge’s Pavilion, set between the two camps has amenities like a fitness center, a 40-foot-long swimming pool, a curated gallery of African art, clothing and jewelry, and a sun-filled studio where local Maasai women work at beading bespoke items.

The lodge is run by renowned industry leaders Steve and Nicky Fitzgerald, and offers year-round game viewing in the Mara triangle.

Rates begin at $750 per night and are all-inclusive.

For those looking for special features such as private safaris and even a hot air balloon safari, those extras can be purchased as guests wish.
