Did You Know That You Can See a View of the Earth from Space in Real Time?

Not everyone gets the chance to be an astronaut, so very few people will get to view the Earth from space in person, but you can view a live stream of the Earth from space on your computer.

Thanks to the High Definition Earth Viewing experiment, you can forego all the training required to fly into space, and just view Earth from the perspective of the astronauts aboard the International Space Station.

There are several commercial HD video cameras attached to the European Space Agency’s Columbus module aboard the International Space Station.

Each of these HD cameras are pointed at Earth and live records and streams their view.

Note that the live stream cycles between cameras on board and may cause the stream to cut out for a few seconds, but trust us, it is worth the wait.
