Louis Vuitton announced their newest watch, the Fifty Five watch, who’s name is inspired by LV in Roman numerals which translates to 55 in Arabic numerals.
The LV Fifty Five watch is housed in a round steel case with a slight curve and features two metal plaques riveted and engraved with the name of Louis Vuitton, the plaques reminds of the plaques on the locks of Louis Vuitton’s famous and historic trunks they are well known for.
The dial is composed of two pieces and boasts of the letter V which is featured prominently at every quarter, with the LV signature at the 12 o’clock position.
The hands, hour markers, crown and buckle of the new watch also feature the letter V.
The discreet and finely engraved winding crowns also reminds of the heads of the trunk rivets.
The band is a available in a leather finish, or a steel bracelet finish.
The watch is expected to launch both for men and women starting in January 2016 with prices ranging from $3,300 to $5,000.
