Louis Vuitton’s New Flying Tourbillon with Poinçon de Genève

Louis Vuitton may be well known for their luxury leather good, but now they have earned some pretty high renown for their timepieces as well.

Their newest watch, the Flying Tourbillon, has earned the Poinçon de Genève, or the Geneva Seal. The Seal is reserved for watch movements made in Canton of Geneva sporting extraordinary craftsmanship and design.

The new Flying Tourbillon has a 43mm case, and a clear view of the vertically mounted gear-train.

The watch’s design also incorporates the triple V badges, accentuating the Louis Vuitton slogan, “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez,” which translates to “Fly, Sail, Travel”.

The case is crafted out of platinum and the watch is designed to sit flat and comfortably on the wearer’s wrist.

Hamdi Chatti, Vice President of watches and jewelry at Louis Vuitton is quoted as saying

“Why did we get the Geneva Seal? Well, clients of Louis Vuitton have never challenged us on the quality, and when we bring the Geneva Seal to our clients, people who enjoy the best that life can offer, there is no need to explain further. The value of the Geneva Seal is understood immediately.”
