The house was built in 1995, contains nine bedrooms, with fifteen bathrooms, and it of course includes a regulation-size NBA quality basketball court among other amenities.

The house was originally listed for $29 million in March of 2012, then cut to around $21 million in early 2013; it then went up for auction in late 2013 and failed to sell when nobody made the $13 million minimum bid.

*Update on 5/20/15* We recently received word that Baird & Warner has lowered the asking on the house down to $14,885,000 compared to the $16 million when we first wrote about this.

Inside the home along with the features listed above, includes a huge home gym, a garage large enough to fit 14 cars, a chipping range and putting green, a cigar room, a tennis court, a lily pond, and a gorgeous pool.

The house also has a billiards parlor, who’s entrance contains the original doors from Chicago’s Playboy Mansion.

For $16 million, you can play basketball on the same court that Michael Jordan, and many other greats that visited have played on, including his Chicago teammates from the Chicago Bulls championship era.

Apparently the house is a hard sell with home prices in Highland Park trading at $1 million to $5 million, and the highest price home sold in the Chicago area at around $12-13 million, so the Michael Jordan mark up is estimated at around $3-4 million, which is a bit of a stretch in the conservative Midwest.

Michael Jordan himself has primarily moved to North Carolina, closer to the Charlotte Hornets (Bobcats), a basketball team he partially owns and runs as well as his Florida home.
