NIssan Introduces Limited Edition GT-R – 45th Anniversary Edition

It’s been 45 years since the original Nissan Skyline GT-R has been released, so to celebrate this event, Nissan has announced a special edition.

Although the Nissan GT-R has only been available in the United States since 2008 (without counting the grey market cars), the Japanese automobile company has been producing the Nissan Skyline GT-R since 1969.

The special edition is painted in a unique Silica Brass color, last seen on the very limited M-Spec R34 GT-R (the 1999-2002 Nissan GT-R model as seen in some of the Fast and Furious movies).

The 45th Anniversary also has special badging on the center console and a numbered plaque on the engine.

Sadly other than that, there seems to be little if any improvements in performance or body style for this special edition model.

There will be only 45 units made that goes on sale in February 2015, unfortunately the limited edition model will be available only in Japan.

The price is quoted at 10,787,040 yen, or at time of writing around $91,000.
