Pope’s iPad Sells for $30,500

The Apple iPad which once belonged to Pope Francis sold for $30,500.

Pope Francis gave the iPad as a gift to Uruguayan priest Gonzalo Aemilius who donated the tablet to the Francisco de Paysandu high school located 230 miles north of the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo.

The iPad sold through local auction house Castells and is inscribed  “His Holiness Francisco. Servizio Internet Vatican, March 2013”, the item also comes with a certificate signed by the pope’s personal secretary, Fabian Pedacchio.

The proceeds of the sale will benefit the local school.
