Porsche to Launch Macan GTS in 2016

Porsche recently unveiled the newest model to their Macan lineup, the Porsche Macan GTS.

Porsche’s other models in the lineup have been available with the GTS trim for a while now.

The GTS trim promises a more sporty fun drive.

For the Macan GTS, the 3.0 liter twin turbocharged V6 has been retuned to deliver 20 more horsepower for a total of 360hp at 6,000 RPM.

The power is pushed through to the wheels via a 7 speed dual clutch PDK transmission.

The new model has its suspension and brakes modified, lowering the car by 10 millimeters and coming with 14.2 inch rotors with six piston calipers in the front, and 13 inch brake rotors in the rear with single piston calipers.

Inside, the Macan GTS sport leather seats have Alcantara seating areas, and GTS stitched into the headrest.

The standard infotainment system features eight speakers, a USB and aux-in interface, SiriusXM® and HD radio™, and Bluetooth® capability. An optional PCM with Navigation module includes a hard-drive based navigation system that supports 3D navigation display, satellite image overlays, and dynamic route calculation. System upgrades include Apple CarPlay and a 4G-LTE modem.

The 2017 Macan GTS will be available for sale starting in March 2016, with a base price of $67,200 (about $15,000 more than the Macan S).
