The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept
BMW recently teased the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept at the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
The gorgeous car featured in a shade called Golf Yellow, pays tribute to the one of the greatest sport coupes from the 1970s, the BMW 3.0 CSL.
The design carrying the CSL (Coupe Sport Light) name, obviously is meant to be lightweight.
The Hommage uses carbon-fiber reinforced plastic parts throughout the body, while the original uses aluminum and Plexiglas to shed weight.
The interior is also made of the same carbon fiber materials to reduce weight, along with quilted racing bucket seats. The interior has been kept to minimalist fashion with only absolutely essential components to also help keep the weight down.
