The Top 5 Most Expensive Ferraris You Can Buy in 2014!

The Italian luxury car maker Ferrari, based in Maranello has made many gorgeous (and expensive machines) throughout the years, well currently in 2014, which ones are the most expensive you can buy?

We count them down.

Keep in mind our MSRP numbers do not include the options you can add to the car, which as with most custom build luxury automobiles, can quickly add up depending on how much customization you want.

Also not included are gas guzzler, destination, and taxes.

5. Ferrari 458 Spider MSRP: $257,412

458 Spider

The convertible version of the Ferrari 458 (which just misses this list and comes in at 6 if you were wondering) boasts a loud V8 engine with 562 horsepower at 9000 rpms and 398 lbs/ft of torque at 6000 rpms.

The car does 0-60 in less than 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 199 miles per hour.

All allowing you to have the top down and the wind blowing through your hair.

4. Ferrari 458 Speciale MSRP: $288,000

Ferrari 458 Speciale

The Speciale is the extreme version of the Ferrari 458, like the Ferrari F430 Scuderia was to the regular Ferrari 430 and the Challenge Stradale was to the Ferrari 360 models.

It has reduced weight, new aerodynamics, and a revised engine.

The Speciale receives a horsepower bump, up to 597 horsepower, but the torque remains at a 398 lb/ft.

The 0-60 time should take about 3 seconds and the top speed is just over 201 miles per hour.

3. Ferrari FF MSRP: $295,000

Ferrari FF

The most “practical” of Ferraris, this supercar has four seats and an all wheel drive drivetrain that powers the four wheels hence the FF name/designation.

It comes with a V12 engine putting out 651 horsepower and 504 lb/ft of torque.

It should do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 208 miles an hour, all while carrying 3 other friends and their luggage to get away for the weekend.

2. Ferrari F12 MSRP: $318,888

Ferrari F12

The gorgeous beast above is the flagship model in the Ferrari lineup (yes we know it is not the most expensive, but we’ll explain why when we get to number 1.)

This car also contains a V12 engine, but it boasts 731 horsepower and 508 lb/ft of torque.

It sprints from 0-60 in around 3 seconds and has a top speed of over 211 miles per hour.

1. Ferrari LaFerrari MSRP: $1,350,000

Ferrari LaFerrari

The Ferrari LaFerrari, the most expensive Ferrari able to be purchased in 2014.

Combining electric power with a gas powered engine, the car is capable of 949 horsepower total with 516 lb/ft of torque.

The car has a sub 3 second 0-60 and a top speed of over 218 miles per hour.

While this is the most expensive car, we do not consider it the flagship model. We consider it more of a limited edition, it was made in only 499 units, the owners had to be approved by Ferrari before purchase, and all units are sold out.

Do not fret, it is rumored that with Luca Cordero di Montezemolo resigning, stepping down on October 13, and being replaced by Fiat head Sergio Marchionne, Marchionne has been on the forefront of pushing the brand to make as many cars as there is demand for, so it is possible that they may be creating more in the future, you better start saving up now!

Honorable mention:

Ferrari has said there will be a new limited-edition car to cost $3,200,000, and rumors has it that it will be based on the Ferrari F12.

The car is to pay tribute to the North American Racing Team, and there will be 10 units made, which have been reported to be already sold out.

Montezemolo is supposed to announce it before he steps down.
