The current first generation Audi R8 is coming to a close, Audi already is working on the successor to the gorgeous car that debuted in 2008 and shares blood with the Lamborghini Gallardo.
As part of the company’s last hurrah, Audi has debuted the Audi R8 Competition, a limited 60 run of cars that has more power than any previous R8 model they produced.
The power comes from the usual 5.2 liter V10, but it is producing a 570 horsepower, an extra 20 horsepower over the already powerful Audi V10 Plus.
To stop all this power, the car is equipped with ceramic brake disks with anodized red calipers.
The car also comes with a decent amount of matte carbon fiber upgrades from the rear wing to the front splitter and spoiler, as well as the side blades.
Inside the car there is more matte carbon fiber in the console and the illuminated door sills.
The car is said to be able to do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and top out at 199mph.
The cars are ordered through the Audi Exclusive system, so buyers can specify their own specific interior and exterior colors.
Orders for the car begin in November and the deliveries should start in early 2015.
