As TV technology advances, there are more and more innovations being shown off by various TV manufacturers.
LG Display, the screen-making subsidiary of LG that is dedicated to making OLED panels has recently shown off an insanely thin TV.
The 55-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display weighs less than 5 pounds and is less than a millimeter thick.
Due to its light weight, it can be stuck to a wall with a magnetic mat on it, and if you wish to move your TV elsewhere? Just peel it off the mat.
If you wish to purchase one you’re out of luck, currently this is just a concept and not in production.
Even if it was production, while OLED is hailed as the next big technology in screens, it hasn’t been cheap to make.
LG’s 65″ Ultra High Definition 4k curved OLED for example has an almost $12,000 suggested retail.
LG has said it expects to sell 600,000 OLED TV panels with the number to increase to 1.5 million next year, with those type of numbers, we can hope that they will start producing this magnificent design soon.
